My wife front ended our 07 reg Skodia Octavia 1.9 diesel estate and the bonnet will not close properly (the bonnet open warning light is showing). Now the windscreen wipers and washers will not work. the central locking system won't stay locked. It locks when i press the key then immeidiately unlocks itself and the horn beeps twice. The problem is that the central locking not working from the remote controls From driver door open only this door and need to put ignition on then press the buton inside to unlock the car. From drivers door close all the doors without issue Sometimes you can open and close with remotes but probably from 10 test 1 time will work. However, the central locking won't play any more. She's an early Mk1 (1999) without a remote fob, so the central locking should work from either of the front door locks, or the boot. Currently the drivers door lock only unlocks/locks the drivers door and the boot. The front passenger door lock only locks/unlocks that door. All of the doors make the same noise and none trigger the central lock. I've never had this problem before and it worked flawlessly two days ago. To me it seems unlikely that a wire is broked/corroded since it happened so suddenly and on all the doors + the wireless system. Posted 21 January, 2016. Ok so I was doing a bit more searching and reading today and it looks like the locking problem could be down to water ingress causing the fault of the door control module (which is part of the window motor as far as I can gather) or it could be broken wires in the door loom. Press any button on the remote control key. Unlock the door with the key in the lock cylinder within 1 minute of pressing the button.
